Have you ever felt someone hug you
Out of pure desire?
Helplessness to do otherwise?
And in that moment you know that
You are the object of supreme want,
With no reason attached
Because that day you were
Kind of a jerk, made excuses,
Almost believed them for yourself
And she didn’t but still here she is
At the end of the day, arms around you,
The truest light in her eyes
It is then that you know
Why the God of the Universe loves you:
Because he does.
It is then that you know, after all the theories
Of thermodynamics why an embrace is warm:
Because it is.
